Guitar
Throughout my high-school years I had guitar and highly enjoyed this elective. There I learned how to read music, play different techniques, different types of notes, and much more. I enjoyed guitar because it helped me be more open to art and it was a great way to pass time learning songs or just playing or messing with the guitar. The guitar helped me stay out of trouble because I would be home practicing at least two hours a day and when I wasn't practicing I was just messing with it. My first year of guitar I performed very poorly because I would always fool around with a friend but for some reason I had signed up to join guitar another year. My second year of guitar I had no friends to distract me and so I started to realise how good guitar was and how fun it was so I put in a lot of effort and progressed. At the end of the year I was one of the best guitarist on campus and made the tryouts for the honors group which I was so excited about. This year I had other obligations other than guitar so I didn't get to practice as much which lead to a poor school performance and because my low grades I was removed from the honors group. Although I got removed from the honors group I still enjoy the class and hope to improve in guitar. Yesterday we had a trip to Fresno where we performed for our rival school. Then we left and went to a radio station where we played on live radio as a group and we had a great time at the radio station. I am highly looking into being a guitar professor or tutor after high-school and going to college of the sequoias to finish my general ed then transfer to Fresno State where I will study music.
AG mechanicsThis is my first year in my agricultural mechanics class and I am highly enjoying it. I have noticed a huge improvement since the beginning of my senior year and also have been complimented on my work by not only friends on mine in the same class but also by the shop manager. I am also looking forward to studying structural steel fabrication to have more options available to me in my future.
